Wedding Cake

Oh my gosh. I just got so excited.
This would  be pretty much the coolest thing ever.
I may have just found my wedding cake design.

m&m's.
It's freaking brilliant. That's what it is.
Imagine it with red, black and white m&m's, with two little strawberries on top.
Like this:

I don't think I've found something quite so amazing before.
And for any girl who loves chocolate... how could you possibly go wrong with this??
The levels of excitement for my wedding just shot through the roof.
3 months until Doug is home.
Less than 5 months until I'm married.
AH!
It's finally sinking in :)

5 Months

It feels like a small eternity. Nay, it  is a small eternity. But at least it's just a small one ;)
And once that small eternity is up, the beginning of my forever eternity as Heather Johnson begins. Oh I love how that rolls off the tongue.

Heather Johnson.
Heather Johnson.
Heather Johnson.

Yup. I'm stoked.

99 Bottles of Sprite on the Wall...

AHHHHH!!!!

I can't freaking believe it!!!

Am I seriously, finally, in double digits?
Do I really only have 99 days until I see Doug and his amazingly attractive and loving and perfectly handsome face again?
I think I might pass out.
Maybe today won't be so bad after all... :D

Hot, sweaty, hasn't shaved and still ridiculously attractive.  Oh I love him!

Letter!

I got a letter, I got a letter! I got a letter, hey, hey, hey, HEY!

Only took a month and half... and 6 being lost...

But even so. I'm happy. And content :D

Aw, I love how happy this boy can make me. 3 1/2 months until he comes home?
Oh, ok :D

St. George Adventures!

So, as previously mentioned, I went to St. George over the weekend... I haven't had that much fun in quite some time :) After my loverly run on Friday night in the rain, me and Sheri watched too much Harry Potter and TV shows. And read way too late :P But it was totally ok, because we had nothing planned for the next day until Tuacahn that night. So, we decided to roam the city and see what historic things we could find :)

Brigham Young's Winter Home
St. George

Flipping awesome random camera made of wrenches, knives, forks,
screwdrivers and other random metal objects...

That night we went to Tuacahn and saw their version of Grease :D It was great!

Not to mention the beautiful scenery...
Afterwards we got Iceberg shakes :D

And then Sunday came. And we had a homecoming to attend! And it was one of the more awkward times of my life... Nothing quite like meeting your boyfriends old Mission President who just got released a week and a half before!! The Fry's are nice though, so it wasn't too bad :P

Sheri made me get in it... :P
And then, before we left, we went over to the temple one last time so I could take pictures and suchness:

All in all, t'was a great weekend :D

Rain Run

So I'm in St. George. With Doug's mom. It has been great already :) I haven't gone on a run in so long, and I thoroughly enjoyed my run to the St. George temple (well, close to it anyway :P) and back to my hotel. And the fact it was pouring just made it all the better :D

A Little Soon?

All right, so it might not be for another 4 ish months, but I can't help it. It's my nature. And I might just be a little excited for the whole thing in general... Oh right. What thing? Well...
I'm pretty sure I found a photographer that I would die to have take my engagement and bridal photos...
Being into artistic photography and doing weddings and other suchness for people kinda makes me a photography freak. I stalk blogs rather frequently. I look at new ideas from wedding and engagement photographers frequently. I look at the colors, the design, the angle... and I critique them all. I've found lately that I'm pretty picky when it comes to photographers. Even if you can edit things well, that's just not enough for me. You have to be able to be unique, and have some sort of artistic twist in how you do things in order for me to be drawn to you. And here is the woman I so hope I can get:

Yeah.
Needless to say, I am in love with her work. And gratefully, she doesn't cost an arm and a leg like some other photographers I know... sheesh!
It may be a little soon, but dang am I excited!

The Pros and Cons of Short Hair

pros
-less hair to do in the morning
-dries quicker
-easier to manage
-looks better (on me anyway, in my opinion)

...pretty sure that's about it.

cons
-very little to do with it
-never pull it up for fear of looking like a Pokemon when you do
-gets nastier faster
-always have to use a million bobby pins
-harder to play with
-less to play with
-one small bad cut and it looks like that for months, no quick fixes
and
-absolutely no way to do "wedding hair"

I think that's the one that bugs me most. I like me with short hair; not much of a fan with long haired Heather anymore like I used to be long ago. But if I don't grow my hair our, I'm going to have the same plain old every day hair for my wedding. Unfortunately, hair is one of those things you actually have to plan out in advance... months in advance. And now I just can't decide.

Grow it out so I can have some kind of curly, braided, half down up do, or keep my short hair and just put little diamond looking pins in my hair, because that is greatly preferred for every day doing.
Am I crazy, or does this look like the 70s are back?
Apparently the 80s are too...

Really? These are my options? 70s, 80s, or Plain Jane Straight, all with a tiara?

Crap.

Oh well. I guess if all else fails I can just do the porcupine look.

Yup. I'm screwed.

Famous Friend

So this last week (or a little more I suppose) Russia organized their first Stake for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! And that's super exciting, seriously. The church growing over where the Soviet Union once was is incredible. But for me, that's not the only exciting news...

Yeah, that girl there in the pink? She's an American. And I'm friends with her.
Talk about ironic. American girl in one of the pictures for the paper explaining the excitement for having a stake there. Beat that, Russia ;)
